withernsea pier

We assisted the Withernsea Pier and Promenade Association, alongside specialist marine engineers, with proposals for the first stage of building a replacement pier. The original pier was completed in 1877 but suffered severe damage in the late nineteenth century after a series of collisions at sea and was demolished in 1903.

Only the onshore pier towers remain and the scheme introduces a new viewing platform as a forerunner to a more ambitious programme of restoration to recreate the full length pier. Planning permission was granted in 2019.
